Expressions, reflections and attitudes in the creation of artist Antonina Sofia Sociu

Since her first appearances, artist Antonina Sofia Sociu is a revelation for beauty lovers. This artist has manifested her passion for music, but especially for painting since childhood, when she felt that her artistic structure represents something that cannot be stopped.
She studied piano at the Art High School in Tulcea, but her mind noticed and felt shapes, colors and attitudes that shaped her personality, giving her the possibility of finding an artistic language that would define her. “As an intuitive artist, my essence lies in the free expression of creation, painting being the language through which I can express my emotions, inner thoughts and experiences, the process of inner reconstruction and liberation from social conveniences”, confesses the artist sincerely and naturally.
The plastic artist who meditates deeply on her own ideas and concepts, eloquently arguing her vision about the chosen subjects, harmoniously combines the rational with the essence of important events in her life.
And starting from here, he testifies through his creations the emotions of those intense feelings varying between the joy of finding the beauty around us and the drama of extremely painful moments that marked his existence.
His creation “Untamed Soul”, mixed technique on canvas synthesizes his artistic creed, representing a main feature of his creation.As the artist stated in the dialogue-interview carried out before the preparation of her exhibition in Paris, the work “Untamed Soul” “evokes a wild spirit, with an independent nature and which resists conformity and remains faithful to itself”.
The artist’s creation is made in the abstract style, using repetitive elements that create genuine expressive rhythms, contrasts and deliberate accents by creating a diversity of textures that overall present an idealistic unity and expression of strong emotions.
The concept from which the artist starts is to bring back to memory, through chromatic symbolism, but also lines that build abstracted shapes, states highlighting essential moments in her life, but also to enunciate philosophical reflections on the fragility of existence and the idea of giving meaning to each lived moment (as we can see in the work “The Floral Ephemeral”, acrylic on canvas).
It is also worth noting that in this artist the structures created and passed through the filter of analysis dialogue with each other, creating that conceptual unity that dominates in her works.
The cutouts made in the image field launch a challenge, through balanced expressions and contrasts rendering its rhythmicity.
The creation “Cosmic Revelations” (mixed technique on canvas) is a work that highlights the manner in which the artist projects her chosen theme, having reflexivity and knowledge as main features. “The work invites us to contemplate the possibilities of interconnection with the universe, during our personal journey of discovery and revelation”, says artist Antonina Sofia Sociu.
Suggestive through the force of expression of the message transmitted is also the work “Reborn in the Abyss” (acrylic on canvas), representing an expression of the human capacity to rise and find oneself in the midst of adversity and profound changes, being an invitation to explore, contemplate and rediscover one’s own potential.
“The path to acceptance” (mixed technique on canvas) is another plastic achievement that reveals a concept that reveals beauty and acceptance of imperfections, the path to self-acceptance starts from the acceptance that imperfections through their unique way of existing can be considered perfect.
In her work “Liberation” (acrylic on canvas), the artist sought to highlight how authentic living can create an inner transformation that contributes to the release of emotions and feelings often derived from hidden experiences.
Relevant in this regard are the artist’s words about this abstract creation: “The work gives the viewer the ability to connect in their own journey and self-becoming”.
The suggestions of the image, which seem descended from the dream or subconscious, are enhanced by the games of shades, the plastic image is deconstructed and reconstructed through overlaps and transgressions of plans, the originality with which it combines these techniques and procedures creating unique visual surprises.
The way in which the artist manages to conjugate the conceptual message with the emotion of inner feelings of maximum intensity, the plurality of interpretations to which the created images refer, but also the subtle and refined play of the expression of lines give force and value to her works.
